My How To Create A Video Presentation Using Microsoft PowerPoint Ebook

My “How To Create A Video Presentation Using Microsoft PowerPoint” ebook has been going well in giveaways and building my email list steadily but with the release of Microsoft Office 2010 it is now slightly out of date as it was based on Office 2007.
I am in the process of rewriting it to bring it up to date and I want to thank Sally Neill for designing me a new graphic for the optin page, and for giving me a blank basic sales page instead of the crappy one I was using.
I am also creating videos of the tasks detailed in the ebook and these will be sold as an upsell to those who optin to get the new ebook for free.  This new version of the ebook will be called “How To Create Videos With Microsoft PowerPoint”.  PowerPoint 2010 has a built in function for converting your presentation into a video.
Until I have the new ebook and videoes finished my original version is still available and you can get it by going to the “My Ebooks” tab at the top of this page and filling in the optin box.  If the new book is uploaded when you optin you will get it instead.  Everyone who is on my list for the old ebook will also get full details of the new ebook sent to them as soon as it is finished.
Those who have unsubscribed or whose email address has been blocked will obviously not.
I expect to have this new edition ready for release in early September so if you would like to receive details sign up for the existing ebook.
I will write more when the ebook is finished.  If you wish to be notified when I publish a new post then sign up to my RSS feed or email notification.

5 Steps To Success With Social Bookmarking

1. WRITE SOMETHING WHICH IS CURRENTLY OF INTEREST TO OTHER PEOPLE

IF NO ONE CARES ABOUT YOUR CONTENT EVEN THOUGH YOU MAY HAVE THE BEST INFORMATION ON THE TOPIC, NO ONE WILL HAVE ANY INTEREST IN WHAT YOU ARE SAYING.

For example you may have the best information on how to make and decorate a snowman but if you publish it in the middle of the summer you will not have much interest.
If there is no one interested in what you are writing about, you will not get read much or get picked up socially.
If you have written something that others like and are interested in you will go viral.

2. START OFF USING TWITTER

Those who have never used the service overlook twitter.  If you’ve haven’t tried Twitter why not give it a go.
You can follow what others are doing and allow others to follow you. Ideally pick people to follow who are in your own market. You can sign up free at www.twitter.com

3. TELL YOUR FRIENDS ON FACEBOOK

Do you have a Facebook presence? If not sign up for one at www.facebook.com again it is free. If you then ask all your Twitter followers to become your Facebook friends they in turn may bring loads more people to become your Facebook friends.
You can also add a facebook fan page if you wish.  From 1st October 2011 facebook in changing the rules for pages along with more changes to the look of the faacebook site.  Some people like the changes and others don’t.

4. USE THE SOCIAL BOOKMARKING SITES

In this I mean sites like Stumble Upon www.stumbleupon.com Digg www.digg.com Blog Catalogue www.blogcatalog.com My Blog Log www.mybloglog.com  Etc.
These can give you the biggest source of traffic to your blog or website and will continue to drive users to it.  If you are promoting anything web based spreading the word via the social bookmarks is essential.

5. SHARE YOUR NEW POST WITH LIKE MINDED PEOPLE

If you have written something that people would like to read make sure that you inform them of it. E.g. A Tweet for this post could be “New post about Social Bookmarking and how to go Viral go to www.richardmoloneyblog.com for details.”

IF YOU WANT YOUR SITE TO GO VIRAL JUST FOLLOW THE 5 STEPS ABOVE

There are probably many more ways to spread the word but I haven’t learnt them yet. If any readers wish to comment and add more detail then please do.
You can outsource the running of the above social sites but be careful that you are 100% happy with the posts posted as it is YOUR reputation on the line not the person you outsourced to.
I hope this is helpful to you all.
